Answers to Questions You May Have
Since sending our save the dates, we've received several questions. If you have a question that isn't answered below, please let us know.
What are the travel dates?
The suggested travel dates are April 2–5, 2027. While our main wedding events take place during this time, you’re welcome to extend your stay and enjoy Jamaica a little longer. Simply call or email Shedia to make additional arrangements.
Will I need a passport?
Yes. If you’re traveling from the U.S. or anywhere outside of Jamaica, your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your departure date (through October 2027). When booking flights, please be sure the name on your airline ticket matches your passport exactly to avoid any travel issues.
What is the deposit amount?
The total cost for one double-occupancy Luxury Level room is $3,175 for three nights (or $3366 with a soaking tub). To upgrade your room, just call or text Shedia at 267.693.0191. A $400 deposit per room is required to secure your reservation. You may choose one of the following options:
Split Deposit: $98 due at booking, with the remaining $302 automatically charged 21 days later (this date cannot be changed).
Full Deposit: Pay the full $400 at the time of booking.
Are there options for a payment plan?
Yes. After your initial deposit, there are two required scheduled payments. You’ll receive a custom payment link that allows you to manage payments easily.
For those who prefer smaller, more frequent installments, Sandals FlexPay is also available. Reach out to Shedia for details.
Can I book my room on my own? What if I want to upgrade my room?
To ensure a smooth and coordinated experience, all wedding guests must book their resort stay and any upgrades through CaryTakeUsAway. If you experience any issues during booking, please let the bride or groom know.
What if I'm traveling solo? Do you know of any guests who need a roommate?
Absolutely. If you’re interested in sharing a room with another guest, please let the bride or groom know and we’ll help make the connection.
When is the full balance due?
Final payments are due 60 days prior to travel. If your plans change and you’re unable to attend, we ask that you notify us at least 90 days in advance so we can adjust wedding and group arrangements accordingly.
What is included in my room reservation?
Sandals is fully all-inclusive. Your stay includes gourmet dining at 12 restaurants, premium spirits at 9 bars, in-room minibar, snacks and beverages, day and evening entertainment, unlimited water sports, snorkeling, land activities, gratuities, and round-trip airport transfers. Your vacation truly begins when you land.
When is the latest I can book my room?
We kindly ask that you reserve your room no later than April 30, 2026. This helps us plan accurately and ensures we can accommodate everyone for wedding-related events. Sandals requires final payments in full on February 2, 2027 (60 days before the wedding). You can technically book up until that date, but we recommend reserving your room earlier to secure preferred room types and spread payments into smaller installments. Rooms are first come, first served and the most affordable categories often sell out quickly.
Does the price include flights?
Airfare is not included and should be booked separately so you can choose the airline and schedule that works best for you.
Sangster International Airport (MBJ) in Montego Bay is about 90 minutes from the resort.
Ian Fleming International Airport (OCJ) in Ocho Rios is about 30 minutes away and a convenient alternative.
Do I need travel insurance?
Travel insurance is available for $140 per adult. If one guest in a room purchases insurance, all occupants in that room must do the same. You’re also welcome to purchase your own travel insurance independently.
How do we make payments?
All reservations must be made through our wedding coordinator and travel agent, Shedia Cary. Once your booking is confirmed and added to our group code, you’ll receive a secure payment link to submit all payments directly to Sandals Resorts.
Does Sandals offer a discount for first responders?
Yes. Police officers, firefighters, and military personnel may receive an additional 10% discount on their room with valid identification. We appreciate your service.
What's the vibe?
Romantic, elegant, celebratory and grown. Picture golden-hour skies, ocean breezes, and an intimate ceremony—followed by a joyful reception with good music, dancing, and a whole lot of love.
