We're Engaged! Leah and André’s love story unfolded just as it was meant to - guided by faith, sealed by divine timing, and shaped by a shared love for adventure. What began as a perfectly timed reintroduction grew into a life shared across cities, sunsets, laughter, hiking trails, and travel near and far. Rooted in faith, family, and adventure, their journey led them to Ghana. Our Love Story

Destiny has a way of pursuing you—sometimes across a crowded room, and sometimes through divine timing you don’t recognize right away. Tashi and André’s story began in Cleveland, at a birthday party hosted by one of Tashi’s besties—who also happens to be André’s cousin and favorite matchmaker. While Dré clearly remembers seeing Tashi that night in 2022, her memory is a bit hazy (we had way too much fun that night!). Six months later, they were (re)introduced by a FaceTime call from the determined matchmaker. Without so much as a word, her panicked expression silently screamed at Tashi to get herself together, and Tashi snatched her bonnet off just in time for the camera to pan over to André. Dré said hello, and their love story began.

What followed was an effortless connection rooted in faith, family, music, adventure, and laughter. Ironically, when Dré first promised to call, life got busy, and he put it off for a couple of weeks. He likes to joke about how he kept her waiting, but she swiftly reminds him that he wasted no time booking a flight to Atlanta just days after they started talking. Their first date was magical: a sunset dinner on the rooftop at 9 Mile Station, overlooking the Atlanta Beltline and city skyline, and a long weekend filled with adventure. After Dré returned to Cleveland, they traveled back and forth to see each other, doing all their favorite things: worshipping together, taking in concerts, hiking, and chasing sunsets and waterfalls together. In 2024, André moved to Atlanta, closing the distance and opening a new chapter.

With the help of Tashi’s family, who kept the secret for months, André planned a proposal as thoughtful and intentional as the love they share. He took Tashi to Ghana to celebrate her birthday, and proposed at dinner on a rooftop restaurant overlooking Accra just after sunset on New Year's Eve. From the very beginning, God wrote this story—connecting their paths, aligning their timing to His, and preparing their hearts for each other. Tashi and André are grateful for a love rooted in faith, strengthened by adventure, and guided by purpose, as they step into marriage with joy, love, and expectation for all that is still to come.
